Brief History Of ATBU

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University’ (ATBU) is a federal technology university located in Bauchi, Northern Nigeria. The university University takes its name from Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, The Federal Republic of Nigeria’s first Prime Minister. The motto of the University is “Doctrina Mater Artium” which means “Education is the mother of the practical arts”.

Dr Jerome Udoji and Professor A. O. Adekola respectively as Pioneer Pro-Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor, while Alh. Adamu Aliyu was the university’s first Registrar. The academic units of the University divided into schools and programmes until 2014 when the National Universities Commission (NUC) approved the change of nomenclature from school to faculty and from programmes to Departments.

ATBU JAMB Cut off Mark

What ATBU Jamb Cut Off Mark means: this means, in fact, the general cut-off mark for all courses at ATBU, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in Nigeria, and there is a general cutoff mark of 180 for a student to register at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Post UTME In order to increase your chances of being admitted to the institution, it is advisable to score more than 180, but there are some courses, such as Medicine & Surgery and some Engineering Courses, that their cut-off is not 180.

The 2020/2021 Academic Session of ATBU cut-off mark for UTME is 180 with the exception of MBBS, which is 230. Candidates who had applied for and scored 180 at other universities and are interested in changing their institution to ATBU are advised to do so before August 5, 2020.
