Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN) has officially announced the Application date for the Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise for the 2023/2024 Academic Session. This article shows the steps on how to apply for MAN Post UTME Form.
The Application Process is ONLINE from 14th Aug to 13th Oct 2023 with a Fee of N2,000.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1. Contact Details: Must have an accessible and functional email address and mobile phone number.
2. Minimum UTME Score:
- 175 marks for Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, and Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- 160 marks for Maritime Transport and Business Studies.
3. Educational Qualifications: At least five (5) credit passes in the Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent, obtained within the last five years in relevant subjects.
4. Correct JAMB Subject Combinations: Applicants must have the correct JAMB subject combinations for their chosen course of interest.
Specific Post UTME Requirements
i. Nautical Science
- O-Level Subjects: Must possess credits in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Geography, and any related Science subjects.
- UTME Subject Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Geography, Physics.
ii. Marine Engineering and Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- O-Level Subjects: Must possess credits in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and any related Science subjects.
- UTME Subject Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics.
iii. Maritime Transport and Business Studies
- O-Level Subjects: Must possess credits in Mathematics, English Language, Economics, Geography/Commerce, and any of Geography, Commerce, Government, Financial Accounting and Business Management.
- UTME Subject Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Economics, Geography/Commerce/Government/Principles of Accounting.
Physical and Medical Fitness Requirements
Due to the unique demands of the maritime industry, all applicants must be physically and mentally fit. Shortlisted candidates will be required to present themselves for physical and medical screening, and must undergo medical tests including PCV, VDRL, HBV, HIV1/2, PT (Pregnancy Test for Females), URINALYSIS, GENOTYPE, BLOOD GROUP at any Government Hospital. The results will be subject to further confirmation.
Marital Status Requirements
Applicants must be single throughout the duration of the programme.
Age Limit for Each Programme
- Nautical Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Marine Engineering: Ages 16 to 21 as of 30th November 2023.
- Maritime Transport and Business Studies: Ages 16 to 25 as of 30th November 2023.
How to Apply for MAN Post UTME Form
The application portal opens on 14th August 2023 and closes on 13th October 2023. The screening fee is N2,000.00.
- Visit MAN’s Application Portal https://application.maritimeacademy.edu.ng
- Click on Admission – HND/ND Registration Portal.
- Log in with your UTME number as Username and JAMB score as Password.
- Generate RRR and select your Mode of Payment (Bank or Online).
- Return to the Academy Portal to complete your registration.

Advisory Notes
